"Happiness is not the absence of problems, it's the ability to deal with them."
Charles de Montesquieu Grief, life transitions, conflict in relationships, or general unhappiness are experiences that many people have at some point. Talking about these problems can help to gain awareness about feelings, thoughts and beliefs. Greater perspective allows for practical approaches to meeting goals. Children and adolescents often lack the types of coping skills to navigate the stress that life throws at them. Therapy can provide a secure, non-judgmental and objective environment to share feelings and thoughts, as well as provide them with a variety of skills to begin being more successful in all areas of life. If you are overwhelmed, feeling hopeless, having a breakdown in your relationships or your emotions are no longer in your control, counseling may be for you. Please contact me if you are interested in counseling. |
